Do I need a technical designer to use it?

No. Sylai is built for indie founders who don't have a tech designer on staff. You describe the garment; Syl asks the right follow-ups and produces the spec.

How accurate are the measurements?

Sylai grades XS–XXL with size-curve defaults you can override. Measurement callouts auto-place on the right anchor points; you can edit any number before export.

Will my factory accept the PDF?

The PDF follows the standard tech-pack structure mills work from: flat sketch, BOM, measurement table, construction notes, and seam allowances. Share it as a token-based read-only link or download it to send yourself.

Can I keep my brand voice?

Yes. Reference photos, fabric stories, and design notes carry forward across the conversation, so Syl describes the piece in your studio's own terms as you build the pack.

How is this different from a freelancer?

A freelancer is $300–$1,500 per pack and a 1-2 week round trip per revision. Sylai is iterative inside the chat: change a pocket, swap a yoke, see the spec re-render in seconds.

Where is my data stored?

Your sketches, measurements, and conversations live in your account on our managed infrastructure. Per-pack and Pro plans include factory share links you control; revoke any time.

What do I actually get?

A downloadable PDF tech pack with the flat sketch, measurement table, BOM, and construction notes, plus a token-based factory share link you can send directly to your mill. Every measurement is editable before you export.
